Planimetrics are building outlines, sidewalks outlines, etc. created using orthophotos. The 2011 planimetrics and 2014 building footprints were used as a base for the 2017 planimetrics. The 2017 planimetrics were updated using digital orthophotography that was flown in July 2017. The orthos have been registered to the terrain at National Map Accuracy standards. Planimetrics has been licensed to the County by Sanborn Mapping Company, Inc. The license agreement only allows certain organizations to directly access the data. Any of the data can be produced in paper copy and distributed to the public. Digital copies of the data are not permitted. Users should note the scale of photography (1:900) and use the data appropriately. Please also note that the orthos have a better horizontal accuracy than some of the current GIS data in County View. The vertical datum for this data is North American Vertical Datum of 1988. If you are using NAD 29 as your vertical datum the elevations are going to be 3.5 feet too high and you will need to lower the elevation by 3.5 ft.

The planimetrics have been licensed to the County by Sanborn Mapping on an annual basis. The license agreement only allows certain organizations to directly access the data. Any of the data can be produced in paper copy and distributed to the public. Digital copies of the data are not permitted. The County does NOT OWN the ortho image database or the data derived from the ortho databaseby Sanborn including the building footprints. Departments using the data are paying an annual fee for that use. The limitations on the data concern the distribution of digital copies of the data. The data may not be copied onto a floppy or CD and given to others. If this secondary data dissemination occurs the County's license with Sanborn mapping will be violated. Users of the ortho base MAY make paper copies of the data and provide these products to the public. If a department receives a Public Disclosure Request for the data it must immediately be sent to Spatial Services (Brandy Riche, 1102 Broadway101, Tacoma, WA 98402) and Sanborn Mapping will obtain a court order to block the request. This digital database is Sanborn mapping's intellectual property and copyright laws apply.

, This version of planimetric data was created specifically for use in Countyview. In this version of the data all retired features were removed and the size of roads features were reduced using the Dice tool with a 10,000 vertex limit.

"
