<othercit>This dataset is derived from 987-2005 Planning Division casefiles. Hardcopy case files were available for research for 2003-1990 conditional use permits and 2003-1988 administrative adjustments and variances. Microfiche was used to collect the datasets for 1989-1987 conditional use permits and 1987	administrative adjustments and variances. The 2004 Official Future Land Use and Zoning Map Book as well as Pierce County's GIS shifted tax parcel theme was utilized to locate parcel numbers that were not listed in the casefiles and that were not found in the address query. The(retired)1994 Official Future Land Use and Zoning Map Book and the(retired)1987 Land Use Maps were referenced for cases where parcel numbers did not match up with those found on more recent maps. </othercit>

The dataset begins with 1987 casefiles because the city changed its zoning code that year. The dataset includes information found in case files about Condition Use Permits, Administrative Adjustments, and Variances for the City of Puyallup. Beginning in 2009 Administrative Conditional Use Permits were recorded. Beginning with 2010 data page numbers for each feature are no longer recorded. At a later date the page number field will probably be deleted.
<purpose>This dataset is to be used by planners doing research that will aide in formulating the conditions of approval/denial for said applications within the City of Puyallup.</purpose>

A Public Records Request form and GIS Digital Data Disclaimer must be completed and returned to the distributor prior to the data being released. Once done, the data can be emailed or burned to a CD and mailed.
Pierce County GIS may process a request for City of Puyallup data if it is part of a larger data set request made of Pierce County by outside sources. If this were to happen, authorization for release of City data would be granted after the requestor completed and returned a City of Puyallup Public Records Request form and GIS Digital Data Disclaimer to the distributor.

<otherCitDet>This feature class is derived from 1987-2014 Planning Division casefiles. Hardcopy case files were available for research for 2003-1990 conditional use permits and 2003-1988 administrative adjustments and variances. Microfiche was used to collect the datasets for 1989-1987 conditional use permits and 1987 administrative adjustments and variances. The 2004 Official Future Land Use and Zoning Map Book as well as Pierce County's GIS shifted tax parcel dataset was utilized to locate parcel numbers that were not listed in the casefiles and that were not found in the address query. The (retired)1994 Official Future Land Use and Zoning Map Book and the (retired)1987 Land Use Maps were referenced for cases where parcel numbers did not match up with those found on more recent maps.</otherCitDet>

<idAbs>

The feature class begins with 1987 casefiles because the city changed its zoning code that year. The feature class includes information found in case files about Condition Use Permits, Administrative Adjustments, and Variances for the City of Puyallup. Beginning in 2009 Administrative Conditional Use Permits were recorded. Case number nomenclature changed in July 2008 when a new permitting software was implemented. Cases are Denied, Approved, or Approved with Conditions. Since July 2008 cases Approved with Conditions are rarely noted as most cases are approved with canned conditions. Only when extraordinary conditions are imposed will there be a notation of Approved with Conditions.

</idAbs>
